Healthy Schools: Fresh from the Farm

We are excited to announce our Healthy Schools first fundraising initiative Fresh From the Farm!

Fresh from the Farm is the ONLY fundraiser featuring Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables. It supports Ontario’s Well-being Strategy for Education and the School Food and Beverage Policy. It is a fundraiser that is not only educational but also exciting and profitable, as 40% of all sales will go directly to support our Student Healthy School initiatives.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The students will be selling Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables to our local school community – supporting our local economy and Ontario farmers. There are TWO produce bundles for sale:

BUNDLE A – sells for $13 and includes 5lb potatoes, 3 lb carrots, 3 lb onions and 3 lb sweet potatoes.

BUNDLE B – sells for $15 and includes an 8 lb box of 20-25 fancy grade apples (depending on the growing season, usually, Empire variety)

Order forms and money must be in by no later than Friday, October 6th,  2017. Deliveries will be made throughout the month of November and parents will be given a week’s notice as to the pick up date.

Thank you for your continued support of St. Peter’s Healthy School initiatives. All the proceeds of the fundraiser will be used to purchase outdoor games equipment for students to use during recess.
